ABOUT US
Pennsylvania, where she spent weekends in the country on
family farms and her teenage years living on a working
poultry operation. Caring for livestock, flower and vegetable
gardening and yard work were all part of life for her family.
Strong work ethic, a characteristic instilled at a young age by
entrepreneurial parents, hard working grandparents & great
grandparents, is a trait Lisa is extremely grateful for. As is a
penchant for rolling up her sleeves, digging in and getting
her hands dirty. The "hands on" tactile nature of her work in
the tile industry is well suited to Lisa.

It was the international ceramic tile industry that brought Anthony & Lisa Bogo to Florida from
Pennsylvania in 1997. Anthony accepted the V.P. position with the Italian manufacturer Ricchetti,
whose U.S. office was based in Melbourne. He continues to work with the Ricchetti group in another
capacity, Commercial Director U.S. Technical Tile Products for Cinca, one of Ricchetti's numerous
ceramic tile factories. Studio Tile and Stone is a stocking distributor for Cinca tile products.
Anthony is a decades long member of the Ceramic Tile Distributors Association, a national
organization of ceramic tile manufacturers, importers & distributors.
He is a Certified Tile Consultant (CTC) by the Ceramic Tile Institute of America (CTIOA). The CTIOA
honored him in 2009 by publishing his field report on Green Building & Ceramic Tile entitled,
"Ceramic Tile; Missing In Action of the Green Building Front". See the link to the full report on the
home page of the CTIOA.
Anthony's role within the company focuses on his business acumen, technical expertise, installation
experience, sales & marketing skills and broad knowledge of and numerous contacts within the
ceramic tile industry. Anthony is a licensed tile contractor in Brevard County, Florida.
The above photo of Anthony was shot in Positano Italy, a resort town on the Amalfi Coast. In the
Amalfi region, you can find numerous small tile artisans, designing and producing cheerful majolica
tiles in the traditional southern Italian motifs, patterns & vibrant Mediterranean colors.
Depending on what you're driving, how fast you're driving it and how daring you are on the cliff-side
curves, it's an hour (or two) south of Naples.
Some day, we'll host Italian road trips with small groups of our adventurous clients...no reservations!
College helped her focus on a career path that utilized a desire to work
creatively. With a BFA in graphic design & visual communications, Lisa worked
in design and sales for various industries prior to discovering the ceramic tile
industry.
In 1992 she began her tile career as a showroom manager and designer for
a high end ceramic tile distributor. National and international travel on tile
business, as well as college level courses in architecture and interior design,
brought her up to speed on the world wide tile scene within a 18 months.
A background in art training, including working in clay, was extremely helpful
to understand the design & manufacturing process of ceramic tile; as well as
it's intrinsic features, strengths and innumerable applications.
Since 2006, Anthony and Lisa have been building Studio Tile a
national customer base that includes ceramic tile importers,
distributors and dealers, mosaic artists, interior designers and
architectural firms.
Now, it also offers Brevard County residents and business
owners a reliable source for tile, design, installation, related
products and information with decades of experience.
Anthony & Lisa have a life long dedication to the ceramic tile
industry and the people it serves in Brevard County, Florida and
across the United States.

upbringing and fluency in the Italian language that would be useful
in an American industry heavily influenced by the tradition of Italian
& European ceramic tile manufacturing & use. An added benefit, the
travel associated with working in the tile industry provided a means
to stay connected to his family members still living in Italy.

Intrigued with all things creative, nature and animals, especially horses, Lisa filled her youth with
Saturday morning art classes at the York Academy of Art and riding her pony. Outdoor activity and
creative projects still feature heavily in her life's work and ambition.

port of Naples Italy. Behind her, you can see the Bay of
Naples and over her right shoulder, the western slope of
Mt. Vesuvius.
On the coast, seen at the base of Mt. Vesuvius, are the
ruins of the ancient Roman city Herculaneum, destroyed
by the 75 AD eruption that also buried Pompeii.

Managing the company recycling effort, segregation of
construction materials and green practices is Lisa's
responsibility.
Lisa's primary role in the company is design, marketing and sales. For clients, she designs tiled
spaces; floors, mosaics, bathrooms, entries, kitchens, back-splashes and outdoor areas. Of
special interest to Lisa, is designing tile installations that make use of simple details to add visual
interest and create a custom finished result. Effectively using different shapes and sizes of field
tile keeps the cost of materials lower without sacrifice of a pleasing design. These kinds of
projects, with their edited simplicity and resourceful use of materials, are the most rewarding to
her. All marketing design is done in-house. Lisa builds and manages the company's web sites,
newsletters and communications. She writes tile and green building related articles.
During that particular visit to Naples a few years ago, Anthony and Lisa were accompanied by
Lisa's father. It was his first return to the city since 1958 when he was based there while on active
duty in the U.S. Navy. We went in search of a small villa he rented with other sailors while he
lived there. It clings to the side of the hill, overlooking the city and the bay of Naples. We found
it, still a rental property and looking much the same, 50 years later.
In fact, he believes the majolica tile in the company's
logo inspired him as a boy and ultimately influenced
his decision to pursue a career in ceramic tile. The
13th century Gothic cathedral where he served as alter
boy, features a tiled garden that inspired him to
pursue a career in ceramic tile. To read the interesting
story behind our logo, visit the web page Our Logo.
Lisa is certified by the Florida Green Building Coalition.
She utilizes this knowledge and training in the
company's effort to employ green building practices
and institute green building features into their
projects. In 2009, Lisa served as Task Force Leader
for the FGBC Green Homes Standard, Health Category.
Anthony Bogo moved to the United States from Naples Italy when he
was 15 years old. Eighteen months after arriving in Pittsburgh
Pennsylvania, he joined the U.S. Navy and took his oath of citizenship
just before he boarded the U.S.S. Robert Lee Wilson, DD 847. As a
radioman, his first Med cruise returned him to Naples. In addition to
regular responsibilities, he was tasked with translation and various
special projects where his Italian language skills and knowledge of the
local dialect were instrumental. After serving in the U.S. Navy, as a
college student in Pennsylvania, he began work as an independent
floor covering contractor to pay for his education. He mastered all
types of flooring, then focused on ceramic tile; a flooring industry
niche that turned out to be well suited to his background.
With tile installation
experience under his
belt, he moved into
ceramic tile sales and
marketing; retail,
